Janice Mott
Director of Racquet Sports USPTA

Janice is a certified member of the United States Professional Tennis Association, the oldest and largest association of tennis teaching professionals. At Greate Bay, Janice currently coordinates clinics and leagues for all beginner, intermediate, and advanced tennis and pickleball players. Throughout the season she also coordinates all levels of pickleball open play, and any clinics.  

During her tenure as the Head Tennis Coach at Mainland Regional High School, Janice led her teams to numerous State and League conference titles. In 1994, she was inducted into the NJ Hall of Fame and was named Coach of the Year by the NJ Tennis Association. She was the former Head Tennis Professional in Ocean City and at Linwood Country Club. Today, she actively plays both tennis and pickleball in her free time, while occasionally golfing at the local country clubs and participating in tournaments throughout the state.  

Janice holds a BS in Physical Education from West Virginia University. She received her Master’s in Education.



Brian Godfrey
Head Junior Director, PTR

Brian is a dedicated and accomplished tennis player with a passion for the sport that started at a young age. He began his tennis journey at Holy Spirit High School, where he showcased his skills as the Varsity #1 singles player for three consecutive years. Eager to continue his tennis career, Brian enrolled at Wesley College, where he once again claimed the position of Varsity #1 singles player throughout his four years of college.

Since 2009, Brian has been an integral part of the Greate Bay community, serving as an instructor and Head Junior Pro for the past 14 years. In his role as the Head Junior Director, he oversees all junior programs throughout the season, offering both clinics and private lessons. Brian's dedication is evident as he works tirelessly to enhance the skills of players at all levels, starting from juniors and extending to adults.

Brian has been a PTR Certified Professional for 16 years, demonstrating his expertise and knowledge in the field. Additionally, he holds a specialized certification in coaching players aged 10 and under, highlighting his ability to provide tailored instruction to young tennis enthusiasts.

Brian McHugh
Head Adult Pro, PTR

Brian McHugh’s tennis journey began at Ridley High School, where he discovered his passion for the sport. He then continued his tennis career at Waynesburg College, competing at the Division 3 level. After taking a break from tennis for 15 years, Brian made a triumphant return to the game as a player, where he actively participated in tournaments in Brigantine, Margate, and Ocean City.

Driven by his love for tennis and a desire to share his knowledge, he started coaching at Stockton Tennis Club in 2017 and Holy Spirit High School Boys & Girls Tennis from 2019 to 2023. Brian's dedication to tennis instruction extended to the Great Bay Racquet Club. His commitment to professional development led him to obtain PTR (Professional Tennis Registry) certification in 2021, ensuring that he stays current with the latest coaching techniques and methodologies.

With a wealth of experience and a love for the game, he continues to inspire and shape the lives of tennis players at various levels, leaving a lasting impact on the tennis community.

Cassidy Calimer

Cassidy Calimer is an accomplished tennis instructor at Greate Bay. Her tennis journey began at Absegami High School, where she honed her skills and developed a passion for the sport. Following high school, Cassidy went on to play Division 2 tennis at Bloomsburg University from 2016 to 2020. She then joined Stockton University Tennis in 2021, and that same year, took on the role of Head Coach for the girls' tennis team at Middle Township High School.

Currently, Cassidy holds the position of Co-Director at Brigantine Tennis Academy, where she plays an integral role in shaping the future of tennis through coaching and mentoring.

At Greate Bay, Cassidy specializes in private and semi-private lessons for players of all ages. Her expertise extends to coaching clinics for players of different skill levels.

Austin Osenenko
PTR

Coach Oso, a certified instructor through the Professional Tennis Registry, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the world of tennis coaching. With 12 years of coaching under his belt, Oso has imparted his knowledge to players at various levels, ranging from high school to college and beyond.

His passion for tennis led him to co-found the Stockton University Tennis Club while pursuing his Bachelor's degree in Literature. It was during this time that he also explored his skills by participating in 7.0 and 8.0 mixed doubles leagues for USTA.

Currently, Coach Oso serves as the co-director of Brigantine Tennis Academy, where he curates engaging summer programs and events catering to all ages and skill levels. Alongside these responsibilities, he offers private lessons and provides professional racquet stringing services.

At Greate Bay, he can be found passionately working with both children and adults, conducting lessons and classes to ensure their growth and improvement on the court. Coach Oso's commitment to the sport and his students is evident in his relentless pursuit of excellence and his unwavering dedication to tennis education.

Tom Delbury
PTR

Tom “Tennis Tom” Delbury is a dedicated tennis instructor with over 20 years of local and professional teaching expertise.

Holding a Level 2 certification through the esteemed Professional Tennis Registry, Tom excels in leading both group programs and private instruction. His specialized concentrations include coaching players of ages 10 and under, ages 11 through 17, and adult development.

For more than 13 years, Tom served as the Head Tennis Pro at the LoveLadies Tennis Club in Long Beach Township. Now, he brings his wealth of knowledge and passion to Greate Bay, where he embarks on his second year, offering private lessons for all age groups and clinics throughout the season specifically designed for children aged 10 and under. Guided by his belief that “Do something you love, and you’ll never work another day in your life,” Tom remains committed to transforming his students’ tennis journeys into fulfilling experiences.
